Mr Robert Laycock

Mr Rob Laycock is a Consultant Maxillofacial and Facial Plastic Surgeon. He holds NHS Consultant posts at University Hospital Aintree, Southport & Ormskirk NHS Trust and Bridgewater NHS Community Trust. Mr Laycock is qualified both in Medicine and Dentistry and after undergoing general surgery and ENT surgery, underwent higher surgical training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Merseyside. During this time he underwent further specialist training in Aesthetic Facial Surgery after being awarded a fellowship in Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery.

Mr Laycock was appointed at both Aintree and Ormskirk Hospital in August 2013.  He practices the full range of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with a specialist interest in skin cancer, nasal reconstruction and post-traumatic facial deformity. He is a core member of the Liverpool Skin Cancer MDT at Broadgreen Hospital

Mr Laycock has a post-graduate qualification in teaching and education and is involved in the Aesthetic MSc Module for the University of Liverpool Medical School.  He is an examiner with the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh and has examined here within the UK and Internationally.

He grew up in Yorkshire and moved to Liverpool to commence his training in 1994.  He is married with three children and lives in Merseyside.  He enjoys scuba diving, squash, badminton, flying and running around after his children.  Having gained his private pilots license in 2006 his next challenge is mastering golf!
