While sneezing is commonly associated with a cold, it can sometimes be an allergic reaction to something in the air.
Many millions of people suffer from upper respiratory tract symptomthat are allergic reactions to airborne allergens. One of the most common causes is Pollen allergies (also known as Hay Fever) derived from trees, flowers and grasses and generally is more prominent during spring and early summer.
Other allergic respiratory symptoms (such as asthma) are generally caused by house dust sensitivity and can affect children as well as adults.
The signs and symptoms of airborne allergies include:
- Sneezing, often with a runny or clogged nose
- Coughing and wheezing
- Itching eyes, nose, and throat
- Watering eyes
- Conjunctivitis
