Dermatology is an area of medicine relating to the skin and conditions surrounding it. This area also relates to the hair, sweat glands and other related parts of the body. 

Dermatology is a broad area and deals with conditions caused by skin cancers, cosmetic procedures and auto immune diseases. 

 It relates both to cosmetic procedures and  lifestyle choices to improve the aesthetic  appearance of the skin to medical conditions  requiring treatment. There is overlap  occasionally between the two areas.
