Mr Iftikhar Khan
Consultant General & Laparoscopic Surgeon
Mr Iftikhar Khan qualified from Dow Medical College in Pakistan in 1989; he completed his surgical training in Pakistan and England. His areas of specialisation are gastrointestinal surgery, upper GI surgery, endoscopy and laparoscopic surgery.
Mr Khan finished his training in 1999 when he was appointed a Consultant Surgeon and he has been in his current post at Aintree University Hospital since 2008.
Since his appointment he has further specialised in bariatric surgery by undertaking training at various centres in the UK and Europe. Mr Khan offers a full range of general surgery, upper GI surgery for cancer and benign disease, gall bladder surgery, hernia repair (both open and keyhole), surgical treatment of sportsman’s groin/groin strain, upper and lower GI endoscopy, surgical treatment of reflux disease and surgery for obesity (bariatric surgery).
