Mr Lucky one of the first consultants to offer new innovative procedure
Mr Lucky, Urologist and Andrological surgeon at The Sefton Suite and Aintree University Hospital, is delighted to be one of the first surgeons to offer a new procedure, Space OAR, for men undergoing radiotherapy for prostate cancer.
Thanks to a simple injection of gel, the new procedure can reduce pain, bleeding and bowel incontinence by almost 80%, according to trials.
Studies also show that not only did using SpaceOAR reduce bowel problems after radiotherapy, it also improved bladder-related symptoms and erectile issues by at least three quarters.
